The Institute for Cultural Partnerships works with businesses, non-profit agencies, and community-based organizations to document their history and present it to others.
ICP works with your staff, clients, constituencies and/or community to record and document group histories, including folklore, traditions, and personal stories and to develop strategies for presenting these histories to others in a way that is lively, compelling, and true. ICP also provides customized, on-site consultation and training services that will assist your organization to identify key stories and effectively communicate its history to the broader public.
The Institute's highly skilled, diverse team of professionals provides expertise in all aspects of documentation and presentation of the past, including
- Oral histories
- Artifact and photographic exhibits
- Printed publications
- MS PowerPoint Presentations
- Audio CDs and CD-ROM
The Institute's services have been used by the 2000 Conference on Black History in Pennsylvania, Country Meadows Retirement Communities, the Pennsylvania Immigrant and Refugee Women’s Network (PAIRWN), the Harrisburg School District, Mount Pleasant Hispanic American Center, the City of Lawrence, Massachusetts, and the Civil Rights History Project in Harrisburg.
