The Ronnie Waters Quartet is Ronnie Waters on trumpet and flugelhorn, Jimmy Wood on Piano, Hassan J.J. Wiggins Shakur on bass, and Clyde Lucas on drums.

About Ronnie Waters-Trumpet

Trumpeter, composer, and arranger Ronnie Waters studied music at Lincoln University and the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music. He served as Dance Band Director of the 427th Army Band in Europe. He has performed with countless jazz greats over the past 30 years, namely, John Brown, Ditty Potter, Lex Humphries, Al Grey, Frank Foster, Art Davis, Cedar Walton, Slide Hampton, Donald Byrd, and Cedric Lawson. He has also performed with all the major jazz artists in Central Pennsylvania. With Shirley Scott's band Ron played on Bill Cosby's "You Bet Your Life" TV show filmed in Philly.

Since 1983, Ronnie Waters organizes and conducts the Central Pennsylvania Friends of Jazz Youth All Star Band.

About Jim Wood-Piano
Born in Philadelphia and reared in Harrisburg, where he still resides, Wood began listening to jazz piano as a small child. His mother Marge Alexander led one of the foremost regional jazz bands a few decades ago called Marg and the Majors.

Wood has been performing as a leader and sideman with central PA-based players for the past two decades. He has performed with numerous nationally renowned players including Odeon Pope, Cecil Bridgewater, Donald Byrd, Nathan Davis, Nat Adderly, and Valery Ponomarev.

About Clyde Lucas-Drums
Clyde Lucas has performed with such noted musicians as Count Basie, Buddy Tate, Bud Johnson, Frank Foster, Thad Jones, Al Grey, Richard Davis, Johnny Hartman, Nina Simone, Monty Alexander, and Clark Terry. Clyde has recorded on RCA, SIRE, Decca, Mainstream, Metromedia, and his own label, Three C's. He toured Japan with Junior Mance, and many other foreign countries with Jonah Jones. Lucas plays currently with the Illinois Jacquet Big Band.

The Addine Publishing Company has published Clyde's drum book, The Amazing Batom, which illustrates and gives instructions on his new, revolutionary drumming concept.
