Superintendents' Institute
ICP hosts an annual meeting for school superintendents of the
regions school districts to address the schools
role in preparing students to live, learn, and work successfully
with the regions and nations growing diversity.
Represented in this region are urban, suburban, and rural districts,
each with distinct racial and ethnic demographic profiles. The
Superintendents Institute creates an opportunity for each
district to learn what it can do to reduce tension and prejudice
and promote positive awareness and understanding of others.
Through the Superintendents Institute, senior administrators
share perspectives from their districts, identify needs, and
create opportunities for inter-district work. ICP values this
relationship with the superintendents as it allows us to develop
programming that specifically meets the needs of local communities.
The Superintendents Institute was initiated by Mrs. Alyce
Spector through the Capital Area Intermediate Unit for a number
of years prior to ICPs involvement.
Questions should
be directed to Fredrika
McKain, President/CEO.
