Onsite Programs
With an increasing awareness of diversity issues, educational institutions cannot afford to neglect discussion about intolerance, violence and sexual harassment. They must engage themselves in efforts to educate themselves so they can avoid these problems. ICP can address these needs at every level. ICP offers a variety of training opportunities for educators and school staff. ICP has worked with not only teachers and administrators but also bus drivers, secretaries, cafeteria workers and custodians. ICP does not offer off the shelf training. Ideally ICP likes to offer consultation and training. We want to tailor our programs to the needs of our clients.

ICP has worked intensively with Susquehanna Township, Susquenita, Eastern York, Northern York and Dover on Safe Schools initiatives funded by the PA Dept. of Education. These year-long projects provided school personnel and parent with conflict resolution and cultural diversity programs that form a foundation for reduction of school-based conflict and violence.

ICP will assist individual schools and school districts who seek to address cultural diversity and/or conflict resolution. Often this work involves the following: needs assessments, conducting focus groups, grant writing assistance, strategic planning, training to faculty and students, evaluation measures and follow-up visits to the district. The foundation of our Training for Administrators, Teachers and Staff are Improving Classroom Culture: Cultural Diversity, Conflict and Sexual Harassment in K-12 Classrooms, Conflict Resolution, Cultural Diversity, and Multi-Cultural Materials.

Faculty and staff are not the only individuals that must take part in the effort to effectively find solutions to the problems of intolerance, ineffective conflict resolution, and sexual harassment. Parents and Students are also important part of the team. ICP can work with School Districts to integrate these players into the effort to create a safer and more welcoming environment for all.

Questions should be directed to Fredrika McKain, President/CEO.
