Offsite Programs
The Institute for Cultural Partnerships offers a variety of programs
that allow members of the educational community to come together
to discuss issues of diversity, intolerance, violence, and sexual
harassment. These programs are designed to get people from different
backgrounds who share the common mission of peaceful inter-group
relations to learn together in an environment that fosters frank
and open dialogue.
A component of our efforts to bring a diverse group of educators
together is our sponsoring of Open
Enrollment Training Sessions through the Capital Area
Intermediate Unit. In the past these workshops have included
Cultural Diversity for Educators, Conflict Resolution for
Educators, and Multi-Cultural Materials.
ICP also sponsors an annual meeting of local superintendents
at the Superintendents Institute.
This meeting offers the chance for superintendents to come together
to discuss and learn about a variety of diversity related issues.
We hope to provide a similar forum for School Board Members in
the future.
